I've been tempted to chase step-by-step certainty in building business. Along the way God keeps telling me, "we will do this My way- you don't have to conform."

Often I would like to know the step-by-step when it comes to talking to a person about the Good News. Like how/if they will receive what I say. I think it helps to have a friendship first, but I'm learning to find common ground and to look at each person I meet as God's workmanship. My role is to plant a seed, that takes some pressure off. I need to be guided by the Holy Spirit and let that attitude influence my interactions. It's amazing God can use my blunders and struggles to speak to others.

Yes - the pressure isn't on us to do any 'converting' - that's all Holy Spirit's job. We get the joy of showing up, planting seeds and staying in step...

Good Morning Em from Wadsworth, Ohio. Today's message was for me. Thank you for the reminder to 'walk & keep' in step with the Holy Spirit.

Walking in the Spirit (WITS) only is possible when we 'pray without ceasing'. WITS is a lot like breathing. When I sense a lack of God's presence in a situation, I simply ask the Lord Jesus, "what's the next move or thing?" And wait on the Lord for the next directive.

WITS 'type of living' has brought me peace over many, many years. I do encourage other believers in Christ to do the same. God's peace and presence will fill you and guide in every situation and in every way. Be faithful, because God is faithful to show us the way. Amen.

Yes! WITS 😌🙏🏻❤️

It’s sooo hard, right?! But the beauty of the intimacy on the journey is worth not having a clue where we’re going sometimes, right?!

Right now. Between jobs. Left my work when I felt the calling "You are needed somewhere else". I do not know where - yet. And try to stay calm waiting. In prayer.

Praying God continues to guide your steps as you obediently follow His call. Good on you for your obedient “yes”!

I love seeing this verse in a new light. "Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.” It's a reminder to tune my heart to His voice and trusting His pace even when and especially if it’s slower or faster than I expected.

Thank you so much for this. I know it is the thing the Lord is laying square in front of me and saying, "This! - Go all in on trusting me, letting me lead you step by step, day by day. Stop trying to figure out what I might be doing and be present with Me right here, right now."

Your perspectives on the Christian walk are so refreshing! (Yes, I used that word once before.) I have experienced heinous spiritual abuse from a church I served faithfully for 40+ years in multiple, successful ministries. Through insidious means I was kicked out. My wife still serves and daily experiences tremendous stress but maintains her values. I need the Spirit every moment to direct my quest for justice and the survival of a once beautiful church. Thank you for the chance to express my feelings since I have no church home and no pastoral comfort. Bless you! -His Servant And Yours, Ray in Michigan-

Ah I'm so sorry to hear that you've been on the receiving end of beliefs and behaviours that are not in line with how Jesus asks us to love and serve. Glad that you took some encouragement from this post.

This is the highest honour. Thank you so much. I truly want to be a blessing in inboxes, not a burden or ‘another’ email that needs to be deleted straightaway!
