The resurrection gives us ultimate confidence doesn't it? That he is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine! (Eph 3:20) That he really has conquered death and defeated sin. That though we suffer in this life (as he did- he knows what it's like! Far more, even!) there is that glorious hope for us. That if we genuinely trust in him, heaven is a certainty for us!! Hallelujah! 🙌🏻
The fact that Jesus completed the work and fulfilled what he said he would and did it all with love and compassion-that deepens my confidence in God’s faithfulness.
For me to live in the power of the resurrection right now means expecting things to turn around, shift and change, carrying a constant awareness of God’s presence, accessing His grace that empowers me to turn around and live in the promises of God, accessing life, peace, joy, freedom and believing for miracles to take place, knowing that nothing is impossible for God and looking for opportunities to share His faithfulness, recognising what he has given me and thanking him for it. It means I can choose to live each day knowing that God is for me and not against me and knowing that He is with me. It means coming boldly into His presence.
I can let the reality of the resurrection shape the way I see trials, fears and uncertainties by reminding myself that God is not surprised by these things, I can remember that His work was finished which means I have access to empowerment to overcome just as he overcame. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. I can remember that In Christ I have the victory because I am seated with Him in the heavenly places and because I am joined to Him I am one with him in spirit and have a spirit of power, love and a sound mind-not fear.
