In the Bible study I was leading this morning, we ended up chatting about our response to sin, how we can end up either downplaying it (saying it's not that big a deal) or overemphasising it (being weighed down by it even after we've repented). The cross blows both of these away. Out sin was such a big deal that Jesus, God himself, had to die to atone for it. But he DID do that, so we are now free from the guilty verdict. Both of these truths together just make us want to worship Jesus all the more!
YES! I've been thinking this morning about the one side of that where people obsess and get so focused on their sin that they stay stuck and are almost rejecting the work of the cross because they refuse to move forward in the freedom that was won for them. Interesting ponderings!
He carried our sin, our shame, our guilt, our sicknesses and our pains and distresses and He did it all for us. Wow! What an amazing God we have. He couldn't have have done any more. He took away anything that could makes us feel separated from Him. All separation anxiety gone!
All so that we could have a restored relationship with Abba our heavenly Father. To restore everything back to walking with Abba in the Garden of Eden (our hearts) again.
Something new I learned this morning, (from the Passion Translation) is that "laid" v6 can mean, in the Hebrew, to make intercession, so Abba also gave him the responsibility to intercede for us too. Wow! How Awesome is that? ☺️
I’m just undone thinking about what He did for us so that we can live in freedom. It causes me to take opportunities to share my faith with others. What a wonderful gift grace is! ❤️
He is the Word. He is Life itself. He is healing. He is the great love of my life. My Yah, my Elohim. My Good and Great Shepherd, Friend, Lover of my soul, the One who holds me through the darkness, the grief and brings me back into His light and love. 🌺🕊️🌺

Great point! I struggle with that sometimes. Growth is too slow 🫂♥️
I suspect we all veer towards one end of that spectrum or the other. The cross is enough!

SOOOO good. It blows my mind that Jesus is right on next to the Father chatting to Him about us and interceding for us.
I know!! ☺️ doesn't it just make your heart soar with this understanding? Our Beautiful Saviour. Xx

This is such a beautiful response of worship.
