Hi friends,
Ever noticed how people who always say, “I’m terrible with names” never seem to remember names?
That’s not just a quirky coincidence—it’s neuroscience in action.
Your brain listens to what you say and adjusts accordingly.
In other words: What you speak, you strengthen.
Proverbs 18:21 puts it like this:
“The tongue has the power of life and death.”
Modern science agrees. The words we repeat—out loud or in our thoughts—literally reinforce neural pathways. The more often we speak something, the more deeply it becomes wired into our mindset and behaviour.
So let me ask:
What have you been telling yourself lately?
It might sound like this:
❌ “I’m so anxious.” → And anxiety tightens its grip.
❌ “I’m not good enough.” → Your brain will scan for evidence to prove it.
❌ “Nothing ever works out for me.” → And you start expecting failure before you’ve even begun.
But here’s the good news: You can flip the script.
You can choose words that align with God’s truth—not fear.
✅ “I have the mind of Christ.” (1 Corinthians 2:16)
✅ “God is my provider.” (Philippians 4:19)
✅ “God intended it for good...” (Genesis 50:20)
This isn’t about hype or positive thinking for the sake of it. It’s about truth.
It’s about declaring what God says over what fear says.
Because your words aren’t just words.
They’re shaping your brain.
They’re shaping your faith.
They’re shaping your future.
So—what truth are you choosing to speak over yourself today?
I’m choosing to speak truth with you, Your words aren’t just words—they’re shaping your reality.
What truth are you speaking over yourself today?
I’d love to hear. Hit reply or drop a comment below and let’s declare life together.
Using words as worship,

Our "Words" will show the condition of our hearts. I found out that it is better to be quiet, than to speak "Words' that are untruth about what God says about us or about others.
May we 'surrender our tongues' to the LORD so that He can use our 'words' and tongues for good. Amen.
Yes! Science is always catching us with the Bible!
