the Christian life was never designed to be a journey towards a place where we no longer need Jesus. Itβs a lifetime of discovering there is always more of Him to know.
Love this! 'The horizon is not the end....it's an invitation.' ....so so good Em! Thanks for writig...but I do have one quick questions: 'Have you bugged my house??' lol! This article reads like a recent conversation I had with God!!
Yes, "He who began a good work in you will be faithful to complete it". Jesus sat down at God's right hand because Jesus took on sin's penalty at the cross. Because Jesus finished this, we are empowered. We are God's workmanship. In this life, we press on towards the goal. A believer's life is a marathon where we are learning to leave what hinders behind. Thank you, Em!
This was a great article and so timely. I think Iβve settled in to thinking Iβve done enough βbig thingsβ for God, maybe he just wants me to rest (which is true by the way) , but there can be something in that posture , that stops looking for the βmoreβ , and just settles .
As I read the scriptures tonight right before I looked at your article., I meditated on Matthew 25:23 which states, β well done, good and faithful servant, enter into the joy of your masterβ. The joy that he is waiting to share with us is the point of it allβ¦.. Thereβs always more of his joy and love to share. Itβs not what we do for God , itβs the joy we get to share in , His and Ours , together., as faithful (not perfect) children. The joy of growing into who we are created to be , and seeing the God of the universe get excited about that, so that he invites us to enter into his joy, is beyond comprehensible. Who can contain that, ever? Enjoying God IS the whole point , and that brings infinite possibilities to look forward to.
Yessssss, further beyond/more beyond - definitely stirs something in me also... so glad it does, it means my awe for Him, my spirit & His Power in me have not gone... I'm reclaiming my Power in Him even as I struggle...
I love this reminder plus thank you for sharing
