I can only imagine your own grief that day - AND I KNOW THE HOPE you received in Christ. I’m glad you’ll see Solomon again!
I just sent your testimony to a young lady I know in Phoenix who just lost her husband. She is in the grief and anger stage. My heart just breaks for her. But she knows the Lord and has a strong foundation. So I'm praying, as it was for you when Solomon passed away, that all of those cemented verses and praise choruses will fill her heart and mind with truth - and draw her near to Jesus Himself.
I served with my husband in youth ministry overseas for 23 years. I was blessed to be part of a community of missionary and NGO and local Christian women, from many denominations, but all Bible-believing, gospel-centered.
Many of us met for prayer and Bible studies; 150+ would come to annual women’s retreats. We saw so many of us healed and delivered from all kinds of things by the Lord as we worshiped, studied His Word, and prayed.
And then we saw the Lord pouring Himself out through us into our families and the communities around us, 96% Muslim. We saw God save, heal, and deliver.
So my passion is sharing testimonies that build faith, and then faith spurs on prayer, better yet listening prayer - soul care prayer. Private victories produce corporate blessings. God does the miraculous in the mundane. Jesus changes everything when we press in and let Him be Lord. I know you know this already - I’m just expressing my earnest desire to strengthen, encourage, and support women and youth ready to lay down their lives for Him - more often he soul heals them, and then our love is motivated by His love!!
I see powerful testimonies as being from those who glorify God in their darkness. God has been SO PRESENT in our own trials, sufferings, and temptations. But I think of people like Joni Erickson Tada, and Cory Ten-boom, and many friends and colleagues I know today.
Now YOU.
I am in fledgling stages right now of developing TheJoyWeaverCommunity ministry in obedience to the Lord. HE is TheJoyWeaver. “Healing the Body of Christ - one broken life at a time.” If you ever have time to think of it and pray, I would be grateful.
Thank you for all that you are doing! May the Lord carry you under His outstretched wings everywhere that you are supposed to go.
Your faith is GLOWING.
