Such a great reminder. It seems like everywhere we turn these days, there are elements we should distance ourselves from. When I’m too close to the world for even short periods of time, I so easily become distracted by it. Am I the only one who feels like that?

I think the world is just so full and busy, that the best intentions often go awry. The thing I've been noticing recently is how often I revert to relying on my own ability to keep me close to Jesus. Like, if I'm reading my Bible x amount, or if I'm showing up in a particular way. Subconsciously we end up making it all about ourselves when in fact, we just need Jesus. So I'm trying (ha, how ironic), to remember to invite Holy Spirit to do the leading, the prompting, the filling, the transforming again and again and again.

Yes!! I agree. It’s my moment by moment intention to cling to the LORD but sometimes it doesn’t take a lot to have me saying things that I shouldn’t. I remember that even (and especially) in those moments God is using my unguarded tongue for my sanctification. I’m also comforted in it because I immediately feel the weight of the words I spoke or the tone in which I said them. God uses those moments to draw me back to himself.

Yes! And it can be encouraging when we find ourselves able to recognise and respond sooner to God than we used to, we can see that He's growing us for His glory ✨

Towards believers who have different views (those contrary to Scripture).

Yes! It’s so easy to fall into the trap of division rather than pursuing unity even when our doctrine differs. Thanks for this reminder of where we can ask God to keep us soft.

Amen. Keep shining! Praying the Spirit fills you afresh so it doesn't come from striving or strength, but from His indwelling!

Such a common problem and one I have to fight against daily. Tomorrow is often tomorrow then next week and then too late! I like the cake illustration. Even a brilliant flash of inspiration soon fades and is forgotten or the moment for action gets clouded by many other things.

Yes let's seize the moment, only God knows how important that moment or those words and actions may be in the days or weeks to come or even in eternity.

Soften our hearts Lord and keep us close to YOU. Thanks you for your ministry.

Amen and amen. Let's be people who respond and obey the Spirit's prompting immediately rather than putting it off to tomorrow. Thanks Roger!
