Yesterday I came across some old journal notes I'd written about five years ago. It was talking about the promises of the new creation, and I'd written "but I want this now!" It's not wrong to long for heaven and all the joys it will bring, but we can't expect to experience all of those here and now. Longing is right, impatience shows wrong expectations, like those who only wanted Jesus as a political revolutionary, a lack of submission to God's will. But it can be easy to slip into! But praise God that he sanctifies us and changes our hearts ๐Ÿ’•

Thank you so much Em for this wonderful Lent series. Iโ€™ve been finding it so helpful, especially today. What a wonderful Lord and Saviour we have- King but a servant king and so approachable!

Jesus came to bring a different way of thinking; humility, servant hood, peace, righteousness (his ways of doing things) He came to bring His Kingdom thinking mindset, so that it would transform all our lives. Touch us all with His Love. His kingdom comes in righteousness, peace and joy and what could be better than that. Alignment to his government and authority which then brings peace and then as a result produces joy. For everyone.
